Vinci Hydro power is a simple technology for
converting Hydel power to mechanical power. The Mechanical power is either

OUR ELC
ELECTRONIC LOAD CONTROLLER:
The
Electronic Load Controller is a small electronic component used in Micro Hydro
Turbine to keep the load constant in the generator, in other words if the
generator is loaded in constant power the generator rpm remains constant and
hence the output frequency will remain constant. It is assumed here that the
quantum of falling water falling on the turbine blade and the water head is
constant.
The
generator output through the electronic load controller to the user load. The
resistive load called dump load is connected to the electronic load controller.
This is normally the water heating element of equal or marginally higher power
capacity of the generator. This dissipates power when there is no user load.
When user drawing power the electronic load controller reduces the power going
to dump load supplies power to the user load and thus applying constant load to
the generator. As the user load is increased the dump load decreases and when
the user load decreases then the dump load increases by the same proportion,
this way the generator always under a constant load. This also helps to
maintain the voltage at +5% of 230 volt / 440 volt irrespective of
varying load. The frequency also remains with a variation not exceeding +5%.
